Sunway Lagoon has played hosts to some of the biggest global events such as the Asian XGames, Arthur’s Day Celebration (2009 & 2010), MTV World Stage (2009-2015). It also hosts its very own Nights of Fright event since 2013. It has many attractions listed in the Malaysia Book of Records such as the Flowrider, 5D Waterplexx, Vuvuzela and world acclaims such as the Largest Man-made Surf Beach, Longest Suspended Pedestrian Bridge and Asia’s First Nickelodeon Park.
Sunway Lagoon has won many awards and recognition, including multiple awards as Asia’s Best Waterpark and Asia’s Best Attraction by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), and the Best Man-Made Tourist Attraction by Tourism Malaysia.
Sunway Lagoon has consistently made it to the top 16 and 5 in the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) – AECOM Top 20 Water Parks Worldwide and Asia-Pacific’s annual Global Attractions Attendance Report.
