Their vision is to be a global pioneer in sustainable ocean experiences. By creating experiences that bring them closer to the ocean, and hope that their guests leave with a stronger environmental understanding and engagement than when they came onboard
Brim Explorer’s two founders, Agnes Árnadóttir and Espen Larsen-Hakkebo, two political scientists, wanted to offer silent whale watching in Tromsø as silence is better for wildlife, for guests, for nature and for climate. There was only one problem: The boats didn’t exist, so they had to design their own. The first boat was launched in 2019, and now we have five boats and are currently building two fully electric high-speed trimarans that will be launched during spring 2027.
