Rasova Wine
Rasova Winery is a family-owned romanian estate blending innovation, sustainability, and authentic terroir.
Rasova Winery, established in 2015 in Cernavodă (Murfatlar region), is a 100% Romanian family-owned business founded by Zoe and George Ghiuri.
With over €12 million in investments, including EU funding, Rasova combines cutting-edge technology with a deep respect for nature. The estate covers 100 hectares of vineyards, 11 of which were planted in 2021, and practices sustainable agriculture with minimal environmental intervention. Almost all vineyard work is done manually, and grape selection is extremely rigorous to ensure quality.
The winery's mission is to create wines that reflect the unique Dobrogea terroir, while also cultivating a relaxed, accessible wine culture. Rasova aims to offer a complete experience—producing friendly, expressive wines and promoting wine tourism and education. Since 2019, the wines bear the signature of Romania’s most internationally acclaimed winemaker, Răzvan Macici.
One of Rasova’s standout features is its architectural concept, developed by Igloo Romania and architect Bruno Andresoiu. The winery is seamlessly integrated into Dobrogea’s undulating, arid landscape, embodying a balance between form and function. The space is designed for both wine production and visitor experiences, making Rasova a landmark of innovation, sustainability, and hospitality in Romanian wine.
